We ranked 15 quadruped robots on published specs only. Genisom M1 scores 83 and ranks #1. Boston Dynamics Spot scores 28 and ranks #12: Boston Dynamics publishes no range figure, and a spec nobody publishes counts as zero points. Go2 and Lite3 tie at #14.
The twist: ANYbotics ANYmal X is only #8 (score 44), yet it is the only robot of the 15 with a published Zone 1 ATEX & IECEx certification. A high score and hazardous-area proof are different things.
Confirmed (manufacturer-published):
- Genisom M1: 6 m/s, 5 h / 29 km (no load), IP67. The M1 is wheel-legged.
- Unitree B2: payload over 40 kg. Score 73.
- AgiBot D1 MaxPro: 50 kg payload. Score 67 (tie).
- Boston Dynamics Spot: 1.6 m/s, 14 kg payload, IP54, no published range.
- ANYbotics ANYmal X: 1.0 m/s, ATEX & IECEx Zone 1, IP67.
Company claims (labelled in the Short): “15,000 quadrupeds built by June” is a Genisom claim. “Over 1,500 robots in customer hands” is a Boston Dynamics figure.
How we scored: six equal criteria, official manufacturer specs only, price not scored, no published number = 0 points. This is behindrobotics' own scoring of published specs, not independent testing. Disclosure: five of the 15 robots are Genisom models, and the ranking grew out of our Genisom research.
