Twenty percent lighter. Zero published specs. Germany's new humanoid got dressed before it got a datasheet.

NEURA Robotics unveiled 4NE1 Gen 4 on October 22, 2026 at the opening of TUM RoboGym (LabCampus near Munich Airport) and showed it at NVIDIA GTC Berlin.

Company claim: Gen 4 is 20% lighter, with a textile skin, series-production design, Smart Limbs and Neuron AI. Only published datasheet remains the June V7 previous-gen sheet: 80 kg / 180 cm / 55 DoF / 20 kg arm. ~64 kg = our calc (80 × 0.8) — not a NEURA number. No Gen 4 datasheet, price or delivery date as of Oct 24.

TUM RoboGym (company figures): >2,300 m², ~€17M over 3 years (~€11M NEURA), partners from 10+ industries training since September.

Laundry claim: 11-minute fully autonomous laundry promised with Neuron AI — no run report, uncut video or intervention count published.

Our take: A dressed Gen 4 body and a research gym are real. Until a Gen 4 sheet ships, mass, payload and price stay inference, not a buy sheet.

Companion editorial: Germany’s humanoid got dressed. The Gen 4 datasheet didn’t.
